Foundational Medicine is the basis of all our treatments. Everybody needs to do a few basic things to maintain health. Eat, breath, drink water, move, and sleep. Many of us have forgotten how important these things really are, and how to do each of these aspects to our highest benefit.
Eat: Choose organic whole foods whenever possible. The majority of your calories need to come from veggies and "clean proteins" like poultry and fish. A few fruits each day are, of course, also beneficial.
Breath: Purposefully take deep, full breaths intermittently throughout the day. Fill your lungs!
Water: Drink half your body weight (in ounces) of water each day. Example - if you weigh 150lbs, then drink 75 ounces of water.
Move: Exercise daily for 30-60 minutes. You can keep it simple. Just move! Walk, run, swim, hike, dance, do yoga,...anything!
Sleep: For best health we need 7 1/2 hours of sleep in a cool, dark room. Wake to "sunlight", not an alarm.
